Getting Started in Trading (GSIT)
"How do I get started?", "What is the first thing I need to do?", "Make me a list of the steps."
These are the types of questions I hear all the time.
I have made my reputation on several things: being a successful trader, being able to teach newcomers how to trade, and being a trading programmer and researcher. I love to teach. And I really love to teach beginners how to become successful traders. But, first and foremost, I am a trader. Most of the other "gurus" are not actually traders, but rather are programmers who write and sell indicators and systems. The only programs I sell are the ones I actually use in my own trading.
I have lots of success stories. Read my "Quips and Quotes" section to see what my clients say about my services.
The first thing I did as a beginner was read John Murphy's "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets," available from Amazon.com.
I now recommend that my students read select chapters from the book, not the whole book. Contact me if you want to know the list of chapters.
Once you are intimately familiar with the book, you can start with private consulting. I often have special offers so you don't have to pay full price. Contact me to find out what special is in effect now. A block of 10 hours will just about complete your education.
If you are serious about becoming a trader, I can help. I have turned lots of folks into successful traders. Just listen to this:
"I'm getting a big kick out of the [Sunny]bands this morning. Typically I'm using ParSR and Floor Trader Pivots. It's great when it all comes together. And as you said, your's [sic] [SunnyBands] picks the tops perfectly." -Frank Z.
"This is a very powerful tool! It's better that what I've had. I'm going to scrap my old tools. It's speaking to me. I kicked butt today making $1,500 trading crude, gold and the S&P." (re SunnyBands) -Tony C.
"U r still a genius!!! Not a single losing trade all week!!!" -Chip S.
"I have been collecting indicators for five years now. SunnyBands is the only one that is actually paying for itself and more! Now I will have to divorce my wife, I am in love with this indicator!" -Jim T. PS: "Thanks Sunny, three successful shorts for the day today.... Three days in a row." -Jim.
