MARKET COMMENTARYToday's market closed with the QQQs reaching for previous support at 33.60. They showed a good run up early in the day, with some hesitation at 31.00, where we saw resistance from previous lows of September 18. I expect a pull-back to 29.25 before the next move reveals itself. We are long the QQQs from 29.56 in the model, on a 15-minute basis. The long-term (daily) model is still short, although it appears to have started turning up. The weekly trendline from September 1, 2000 could continue to put downward pressure on the QQQs, but I expect at least an attempt for the 33.60 mark. The DOW effectively met its overhead resistance at 9087 and could easily resume channel trading in a new, lower range. Protracted choppy action between 8260 and 9087 would not be at all surprising. The S&P 500 Cash appears to have formed a head-and-shoulders pattern, which could resolve first back into the 1136 range, followed by a return to new lows below 923.
