Trading Strategies Day Trading + Swing Trading: A Beginner's Guide to Trading with Easy and Replicable Strategies ... (Mark Swing) - I bought this book because it has "Strategies" in the title. I'm looking for material for my book "Grading the Gurus" and was fooled by the title. There are no strategies in this book, only beginner level technical analysis thoughts.
Prequel (Rachel Maddow) - This one starts in the 1930's with a careful and logical review of how Germany gave over to Fascism. It is a bit like how to make frog soup. Start slow and increase the heat. Mmaddow charts the rise of a wild American strain of authoritarianism that has been alive on the far-right edge of our politics for the better part of a century. Before, and even after our troops had begun fighting abroad in WWII, a clandestine network flooded the country with disinformation aimed at sapping the strength of the US war effort and persuading Americans that our natural alliance was with the Axis, not against it. It was a sophisticated and shockingly well-funded campaign to undermine democratic institutions, promote antisemitism, and destroy citizens' confidence iin their elected leaders, with the ultimate goal of overthrowing the US government and insstalling authoritarian rule. Sound familiar? Maddow's work is of course maticulous, extremely well researched and enlightening.
Oath and Honor (Liz Cheney) - This book is a masterfully narrated personal account of the J6,2021 Iinsurrection from inside the halls of Congress. Cheney dared to stand up to the false accounts of Donald Trump and his minions and lost her job for it. The book is a grippping read.
