Easing into EasyLanguage: Foundation Edition: This is the first book in the series and is designed for the beginner who wants to learn as much of the basics of EasyLanguage so that they can program their ideas, plot them on a chart and then back test them. This book takes you from looking at a blank screen and scratching your head to developing trading systems that use indicators such as RSI and Stochastics, Fixed Fractional money management, and protective stops and profit objectives. All sample code will be provided via website download and the author will have support videos available to readers. Complete trading systems will be provided for demonstration purposes. From these templates the reader can use the code as a "Foundation" for further investigation. Again this is a beginners edition and the subsequent books in the series will build upon this edition. The only prerequisite required is the ability to create a chart in either TradeStation or MultiCharts and then open the TradeStation Development Environment (TDE) or the PowerLanguage Editor (PLE). All code will be provided in an ELD (EasyLanguage Archive) and can easily be imported into TradeStation or Multi-Charts. For those who use TradeStation, workspaces will be made available. Other platform users, such as MultiCharts, will be able to create workspaces by the descriptions in the books. Even if you want to start developing intra-day systems, you should start with the Foundation Edition to build a solid knowledgebase of EasyLanguage. Before you can learn Calculus you must go through Algebra first. The second book in this series will cover everything you want or need to know to test minute bars.
Easing into EasyLanguage: The Hi-Res Edition: This book is for those that have read the Foundation Edition or have some experience working with EasyLanguage and the various functions that help make a trading decision. This book's audience will be those programmers that want to take an idea, that requires an observation of intraday market movements to make a trading decision, and program it accurately. If you have programmed daily bar systems, and you want to drill down and add some components that require additional market information (like what came first - the high or the low), then you have come to the right place. If you want to buy and sell short in the same day and use trade management principles such as profit targets and stop losses then The Hi-Res Edition is the book you need. There are two paradigms that EasyLanguage covers: daily and intraday bar programming. It's the same language, but the move from daily to intraday programming can be quite difficult. Learn all the essentials and shortcuts with this edition.
Easing into EasyLanguage: Advanced Topics: This third and final book in the Easing Into EasyLanguage Series will cover several topics that new programmers may consider "Advanced." Buy this book to learn how to overcome the obstacles that may be holding you back from developing your ideal Analysis Technique. This book could be thousands of pages long because the number of topics could be infinite.
